About Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Myrnam is a long-established Ukrainian Catholic parish whose first recorded Divine Liturgy was celebrated in a home on March 2, 1909. The parish was formally established in 1916, purchased land in 1918, and built its church that same year.

The parish became a centre for faith, cultural activity, UCWLC work, and Ukrainian community life. Its history notes 126 original families, the Ukrainian National Hall, and long service from Basilian and Eparchial clergy.
