About Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Glendon grew from home-based Easter services into a Ukrainian Catholic parish with a cross-shaped church built in 1940. The parish purchased land in 1939, built a priest residence in 1945, and added a hall in 1952.

The parish history highlights active BUCC, UCWLC, UCYC, and altar boys, as well as sustained liturgical traditions in the Glendon community, including vespers and matins.
