Ascension of Our Lord Parish – Fedorah

Ascension of Our Lord Parish in Fedorah is a rural Ukrainian Catholic church rooted in the first wave of Ukrainian settlement northeast of Edmonton. The parish traces its beginnings to a small founding community in the early 1900s, with church property acquired in 1905 near the old Fedorah train station and Bonaccord.

The church was built in 1934-1936, and the parish site includes cemetery land. Its history reflects the care of early Basilian Fathers and later Eparchial clergy serving a longstanding rural community in the Redwater district.
