“Knights of the Altar” — St. Basil’s Altar Boy Camp

St. Basil’s Altar Boy Camp is an annual Ukrainian Catholic camp for altar boys in Alberta. It offers spiritual, cultural, and recreational activities, along with great food.

Campers take part in liturgy, religious instruction, sports and waterfront activities, crafts, and a closing liturgy with parents and staff. The camp is open to all active altar boys of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy ages 7 and older, as well as boys who wish to become active altar boys and learn to serve.

Registration begins Monday, August 3, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with supper for altar boys and staff at 6:00 p.m. Daily program activities run August 4-7. On Saturday, August 8, closing Divine Liturgy is at 10:30 a.m., with pickup by 12 noon.

The cost is $400 per altar boy camper. For spiritual direction, contact Father Thomas Kobak, OSBM, at fr.kobak@eparchy.com or (780) 434-8010. For general information, contact Ken Stelmach at kenstelmach@hotmail.com.
